Are dental X-rays necessary?
X-rays are a vital diagnostic tool for our dentist. The images captured by X-rays allow us to see problems in the early stages of development and provide effective treatments. This includes problems like cavities, decay behind your fillings, impacted teeth, gum and bone-related loss, and changes to bone structure that may indicate an underlying problem. X-ray machines are very safe, and they are regularly checked to ensure that they function correctly and safely.
Are you nervous to visit the dentist?
Fear prevents many people from visiting the dentist. At our office, you do not need to feel anxious or afraid. Our dentist takes the time to get to know you and answer all your questions in a relaxed, “no-pressure” setting. We offer a number of amenities, as well as oral sedation, to help you feel more comfortable during your appointment. Please call us if you experience dental anxiety or have questions. We will be happy to help you.
Why should I get a dental implant?
Dental implants provide permanent, comfortable, and attractive solutions for missing teeth. A restoration supported by an implant will look, feel, and function more like your original tooth. Even the implant post used to replace the tooth root will feel and function as if it were a real tooth root, stimulating the supporting bone in which it is anchored to help prevent deterioration of bone tissue. Additionally, implants may be used to replace single, multiple, or entire arches of teeth – without any need to alter or harm healthy teeth nearby.
What is cosmetic dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry is a field of dental care dedicated to helping you achieve a more beautiful smile. It may include treatments to repair chipped, crooked, or gapped teeth, or simply to improve your overall appearance. To learn how cosmetic dentistry can benefit you, please contact our office.
Do you offer teeth whitening?
Our office provides both in-office teeth whitening and take-home teeth whitening to help you improve your smile. We will work with you to provide you with the type of whitening that will be most effective based on your needs, personal preferences, and schedule.
Is flossing really necessary?
Yes! Brushing and flossing your teeth regularly are key to keeping your teeth healthy and beautiful for life. Flossing reaches the areas of your mouth between the teeth, where your toothbrush cannot reach. It helps to remove bacteria and other debris, and reduces the likelihood of gum disease.
